Depart Canada
Evening departure from Toronto to Barcelona.
November 18
Barcelona
Late morning arrival in Barcelona. We are transferred to our hotel, free time for rest, dinner and overnight.
November 19
Barcelona
Full day in Barcelona. In the morning, we the visit enchanting Benedictine monastery in Montserrat and the Black Madonna of Montserrat. The monastery was visited by St. Ignatius in 1522. After lunch our tour of Barcelona features the Columbus Monument, elegant tree lined “Ramblas”, Plaza de Catalonia, Paseo de Gracia and the famous church of Sagrada Familia where we celebrate Mass. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Manresa - Zaragoza - Pamplona
This morning, we leave for Pamplona. En route we stop in Manresa and visit the Cave of Saint Ignatius, a sanctuary where St. Ignatius of Loyola wrote his “Spiritual Exercises”. Continue to Zaragoza to visit the Basilica dedicated to Our Lady of The Pillar. Dinner and overnight in Pamplona area.

Pamplona
Full day in Pamplona area. First, we visit the Sanctuary of Loyola built around the birthplace (in 1491) of St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus. Continue to Pamplona for a tour including the Cathedral and the St. Ignatius Basilica built in the place where he was injured in the battle and during the subsequent convalescence, he decided to be a priest. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
November 22
St. Emilion - La Rochelle
Today we travel to La Rochelle in France. En route we visit St. Emilion region famous for its vineyards. We stop in one of them for wine tasting and lunch. Continue to La Rochelle for overnight.
November 23
La Rochelle - Vitre - Mont St.
This morning, we visit the well-preserved old town of La Rochelle with three medieval towers being a prominent tourist attraction. Continue to Vitre, known for its castle, charming old streets and restored half-timbered houses where we celebrate Mass. Dinner and overnight in Mont St. Michel area.
November 24
Mont St. Michel
After breakfast we tour Mont St. Michel and ancient strategic fortifications of this island-town, the monastery and medieval buildings. Mass and free time before returning to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
November 25
Lisieux - Paris
Today we travel to Paris. En route we stop in Lisieux, city of St. Thérèse, "The Little Flower” where we celebrate Mass in the Basilica dedicated to her. Continue to Paris for dinner and overnight.
November 26
Paris
Full day in Paris. St. Ignatius studied here at the university. Our city tour will take us to views of Eiffel Tower, Place de La Concorde, Champs-Élysées and Notre Dame Cathedral (under reconstruction). We celebrate Mass in St. Pierre church, one of the oldest in Paris, where St. Ignatius and his companions’ vows to work together and became the first Jesuits. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.
November 27
Return to Canada
This morning, we are transferred to the city centre for some free time before moving to the airport for a flight to Toronto. Evening arrival.

CANCELLATION:
If cancellation is necessary, please advise IHT immediately in writing. Cancellation charges are as follows:
  • 60 days before departure or earlier - $300.00 per person
  • between 60 and 45 days before departure – 50% of the total cost
  • 45 days or less – 100% of the total cost
