Departure from Canada
Late afternoon departure from Toronto to Rome.
September 28
Rome - Bolsena - Florence
Upon arrival in Rome, transfer to Bolsena. Visit the Basilica of Saint Cristina, a Church best known for the site of the Eucharistic Miracle in 1263. Mass, then continue to Florence for dinner and overnight.
September 29
Florence - Siena
Morning sightseeing tour of Florence to see the Duomo of Santa Maria Del Fiore, the Baptistery of St. John and the Church of Santa Croce with the Tombs of Michelangelo, Galileo, and Machiavelli, Piazza De La Signoria and Ponte Vecchio. Afternoon, continue to Sienna. Mass, dinner and overnight.
September 30
Siena - Assisi
Today we visit Siena, birthplace of St. Catherine Virgin and Doctor of the Church, visit the old city, Piazza Del Campo, Duomo and the church of St. Catherine of Siena. After lunch, we leave for Assisi, the city of St. Francis, built of pink stone and prettily spread out on the slopes of Monte Subasio. Upon arrival in Assisi visit and Mass at Basilica of Santa Maria De Angeli. Transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.
October 1
Assisi - Loreto
Visit Assisi. We visit the church of Santa Maria Maggiore where we see tomb of Blessed Carlos Acutis, then continue to Basilica of St. Francis and Church of Santa Clara. En route we visit St Damiano (time permitting). On to Loreto for Mass, dinner and overnight.
October 2
Loreto-San Giovanni Rotondo
Morning Sightseeing Loreto, to visit the Holy House of Nazareth and the beautiful Madonna of Loreto. Then continue to Lanciano, the site of Eucharistic Miracle. On the way we stop in Manoppello, where we visit Basilica del Volto Santo containing a sudarium – an image of Jesus face on a thin byssus veil. Continue to San Giovanni Rotondo for dinner and overnight.
October 3
San Giovanni Rotondo-Naples
Morning visit of the Shrine of St. Padre Pio and celebrate Mass at his Tomb. We also visit St Michael the Archangel cave. In the afternoon continue to Naples to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
October 4
Naples - Montecassino
Full day tour of Naples and beautiful Sorrento. Some free time, then Mass. Continue to Montecassino for dinner and overnight.
October 5
Montecassino - Rome
In the morning explore Montecassino, visit the spectacular Benedictine Abbey on top of the mountain. Continue to Rome. Upon arrival, walking tour of Rome will take us to visit Trevi Fountain, Piazza del Popolo, Spanish Steps and Pantheon. In the afternoon, Mass, then continue to hotel for dinner and overnight.
October 6
Rome
Morning visit of Vatican Museum including St Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine chapel. Some free time for late lunch, then visit San Paolo Alle Tre Fontane and Grotto of the Three Fountains. Mass in one of Rome churches. Transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.
October 7
Rome
Today we visit Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore, Holy Stairs, visit Church of Mother of Perpetual Help, Basilica Di Santa Prassede and Basilica of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem. Mass, then transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.
October 8
Rome
Morning Audience with the Holy Father. In the afternoon visit Basilica of St Paul outside the Walls, then continue to Basilica di San Giovanni, church of St Lawrence and Sacred Heart of Suffrage. Mass and transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.
October 9
Rome
Today our tour takes us to QuoVadis and Basilica of Sant’Andrea delle Fratte. Some free time to last minute shopping. Mass, then return to hotel for dinner and overnight.
October 10
Return to Canada
After breakfast we are transferred to the airport for a flight to Toronto. Afternoon arrival
